     Many people are uncomfortable when they have to make calls for network especially when they have to take appointments. The thought of rejection and the unpredictability of the responses make them nervous every time they think of making a call. 

Therefore contacting and inviting comes across as the most uncomfortable exercise to most of the new Entrepreneurs building this business. These are common feelings when getting started, so you are not alone. 


If you don't feel confident contacting, you're recommended to take the guidance of your sponsor and upline to invite the prospects. As your belief level increases in the business and in yourself, inviting will become easier. After doing it on a regular basis you will be at ease. Practice makes things perfect.


Remember, if you do not invite the people on your list, sooner or later someone else will. If you realize that you are doing them a favour by inviting them rather than thinking that they are doing you a favour by looking at your business, then inviting them will become easy.


Here are some tips to overcome anxiety while inviting:


  • When you talk, focus on the topic. Don't drift away from it.

Get out of your own head and concentrate on the conversation you’re participating in.

Avoid fidgeting, pacing, rambling, and darting your eyes during a conversation. These behaviours will make it extremely difficult for you to think on your feet and to communicate a message your listener needs and understands.

When leading a meeting or face-to-face conversation, ask your listeners to shut down their technical devices. If you and your message are engaging, interesting and credible, your listeners will want to listen to you.

  • All your business building activities which include contacting and inviting need to be presented in a very professional manner.

If you are meeting face to face Make sure you’re well-groomed. Your clothes should be clean and wrinkle-free, without holes or missing buttons.

First impressions are critical, so it’s essential to present yourself at work well dressed. It’s not about having the most expensive clothes or the latest and greatest watch. Ensure your clothes are well-fitted.



  • Use the right approach for inviting. Never mislead.

  • Always invite four times as many people as you want to have at a meeting. Statistics show that about half will commit to coming, and out of those only half will actually appear. Remember what words you use for inviting is important.

About 50% of those who join the business have a totally inaccurate picture of the business before they come across the plan. Most of them say that they would have looked at the business objectively had they been invited properly. 

 

  •    Have Confidence :

Speaking of when things don’t go your way, confidence helps you put failures in perspective. No one likes making mistakes or being disappointed, but when you have confidence in yourself, you know you have the skills necessary to tackle any challenges that come your way. 

The more challenges you take in stride, the more your confidence and resilience increase.
