Listen - Kick - Kiss Formula:


Listen -  First, ask open-ended questions so that your prospect can express. Listen carefully, note every point in your mind.

Listening is key to all effective communication. Without the ability to listen effectively, messages are easily misunderstood. As a result, communication breaks down and the other person you're talking to can easily become frustrated or irritated.

Also whenever we listen carefully to the other person, the person does the same when you start talking. We human are born copy-cat (imitator).

While you're listening to your prospect respond in the gaps.

Like, if he says, I don't have the money to join the company, then respond with "okay", "hmm", or like something very short. And ask an open-ended question relating to the phrase or ask for more about the phrase. So that he continues. 

Also, One more thing you can do while listening. Pay attention to the speaker's body language and behaviour. Having the ability to interpret the other person's body language lets you develop a more accurate understanding of the speaker's message (if he is lying or hiding something or hesitating or more)

Kick - As you've listened carefully, now you know his/her situations and issues. Now This is the time to provide criticism (things you don’t like) about the person or situation. These should be the areas for improvement.

At this point, you need to motivate your prospect to overcome his situations or obstacles. 

Most of the time, the person is oblivious of their behaviour. Make sure you give a specific example in each point. At the same time, pointing just 2-3 examples is helpful enough. You can also show him a short video of how people with the same problem gained success. 

You do all the pushing in this part. Criticise their situations and motivate them. 

For example - If the person says I do not have money, (verify the issue is genuine)

Then you can tell "I do understand that you do not have money, but do you want to stay always like this! Or you want to improve yourself and earn money". "You do not have the money, it's not the main factor. The main factor is you want to earn that money or not". " You know, there is a quote of bill gates - ' If you're born poor it's not your mistake, but if you die poor it's your mistake.'

Kiss - End the feedback with positive comments. This can be an addition to the positive comments you started with or the expected positive outcome from the improvements.

In this part, you have to find your prospect's good qualities and praise for that qualities.   

Remember, Do not blame the prospect, you can blame his situations. 


Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
